Anish Chowdhury(CEO and Founder)
is a high school student passionate about the intersections and applications of economics, business, and politics. In high school, he competed and won national-level awards in extemporaneous speech, debate, and MUN. Outside of school, he has engaged in research regarding microfinance and has worked with organizations such as BRAC to found his microfinance initiative in Bangladesh. Anish’s work allowed him to be invited to the 2024 UN Youth ECOSOC Forum. In his local community, Anish has worked in congressional and mayoral campaigns. In addition, Anish has participated in research opportunities related to environmental studies at the University of Southern California. Overall, Anish has utilized his high school years to learn as much about the political and economic world as possible.
Lenny Kinaro(Regional Lead)
is a high school student from Nairobi, Kenya, driven by his evident thirst for knowledge in finance and economics, especially within the world of policy. This has prompted him to lead his school economics society while often competing in international economics essay competitions in pursuit of global recognition. His work centers around helping his community get greater access to education. He competed at numerous competitions including the Harvard International Economics Essay Contest and the Ostrom Society competition. He looks forward to helping Blossom Funds.
Namrita Ghani(Regional Lead)
is a student based in the UK. Her work centers around trying to find ways to eradicate poverty. Namrita is of Bengali origin and has focused most of her work in Bangladesh. In the summer of 2022, she had the opportunity to intern for Grameen Bank founder and the current head of the Bangladeshi government, Mohammad Yunus. At her school, she founded numerous business and finance clubs. Namrita aims to assist Blossom Fund outreach in Bangladesh and Asia as a whole. ​
